SPARTA, NJ – A Lafayette woman was taken to the hospital after she crashed off Demarest Road. On September 16 around 9:30 p.m. Police Officer Thomas Herd found Danielle Enman, 33 had gone off the road, about 20 feet into the wood, police said.
Enman, the only person in the car, appeared disoriented and did not know how her car ended up in the wood, police said.
Herd found a number of empty and full beer bottles in the car and determined Enman had been drinking before she got behind the wheel, police said.
The Sparta First Aid and Sparta Fire Department arrived to help clear brush away from Enman’s red Toyota Corolla and get her out of the car. She was put in an ambulance and brought to Newton Medical Center to be evaluated, police said.
Officer Herd charged Enman with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and failure to keep right. She was given a mandatory court date and remained at the hospital, according to police.
