SPARTA, NJ — Two wanted women from Honesdale Pennsylvania are facing additional charges after they were pulled over on Route 15 north for driving in the left lane. Sparta Police Officer Steven Guido stopped Amanda Privett, 31 at 2 a.m. on July 19 police report.
Privett told the officer she only had her Pennsylvania identification card. Guido found she had a warrant out of Rockaway, police said.
The front seat passenger Jody Orrick, 41 told Guido her license was also suspended and that she had a warrant out of New Egypt, police report.
Both women were taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department for processing. Orrick was found to have a vape pen that contained marijuana, police report.
Privett was charged with failing to keep right on a highway, failing to signal lane change, unlicensed driver and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. She was turned over to Rockaway Township Police Department on the outstanding warrant.
Orrick was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was given a new court date for her New Egypt warrant.
Both women were given Sparta court dates before being released.
