SPARTA, NJ – A Sparta women is facing charges after crashing her car into a tree on Route 94. Sparta Police Officer Erick Finley went to the scene of a one car accident on February 2 around 10 p.m. police report.
Kamila Pietrontone was in her 2016 BMW off the road. She had struck a tree before coming to rest in a ditch, police report.
When Finley spoke with Pietrontone he found she incoherent and suspected she was intoxicated. Pietrontone, 42, was taken by the Sparta Ambulance Squad to Newton Medical Center for treatment. While there, The hospital took blood sample as ordered in a warrant Finley had secured, police report.
Pietrontone was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to maintain Lane. Police said she was released to her husband and hospital personnel pending a court date.
