SPARTA, NJ – A Sparta man stopped for speeding ended up custody for driving with a suspended license. Michael Castillo, 21 was stopped by Sparta Cpl. Craig Grauerholz for driving 41 mph in a 30 mph zone on Woodport Road, police report.
On February 9 around 1.09 a.m. Grauerholz stopped Castillo driving a grey Chevy Cruze. The officer found that Castillo had his license suspended and an active warrant in Andover, according to police.
Castillo was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department headquarters for processing. He was charged with speeding and driving while suspended and given a court date. According to Sparta police, Castillo, unable to post bail was turned over to the Andover police.
