SPARTA,  NJ – A Paterson man was stopped for speeding ended up getting picked up on outstanding warrants.  On February 10 around 11:20 a.m. Sparta Police Officer Thomas Snyder stopped Jonathan Rodriguez, 32 for going 80 mph in a 55 mph, according to police.

The officer found that Rodriguez had a suspended license and warrants in Totowa and Teaneck.  Rodriguez was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing.  The other towns were contacted, according to police.

Both towns issued new court dates.  Sparta charged Rodriguez with speeding and driving while suspended.  He was given an court date and released.
