SPARTA, NJ- A Warton woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop. On September 1 around 6:50 a.m. Officer Jonathan Poon stopped Martha Rubio, 21 in a red Volkswagen, for not moving to the right lane, police said.
Poon smelled marijuana in Rubino’s car. The officer searched the car and found a bag of pot. Rubino admitted it was hers, police said.
Rubino was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing. She was charged with possession of marijuana, failure to keep right, controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and unclear plates. Rubino was given a court date and released.
