SPARTA, NJ – A Budd Lake man stopped on Route 15 for several equipment violations was found to have several outstanding warrants.  On August 23 around 2:30 p.m. Michael Scott, 58 was found to have a suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license and warrants in Mount Olive, Newark and Columbia, police said.

Scott was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing.  All of the towns were contacted and each gave Scott new court dates, police said.

Scott was charged with cracked windshield, obstructed view, driving while suspended, unlicensed and unclear plates, police said.
