SPARTA, NJ- Police caught up with a wanted driver when they responded to a car accident at the Quick Chek on Sparta Avenue.  On December 11 around 10 a.m. Officer Thomas Herd was checking on the credentials of the two people involved in the accident and found Adrianne Smith, 35, had a warrant out of Andover, police said.

The Newton resident Smith was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing.  The Andover court was contacted, police said.

Smith posted bail.  She was given summonses for driving while suspended, careless driving and failure to inspect.  Smith was given a court date and released.
