SPARTA, NJ -  The Easter bunny came to the Sparta Library and he brought friends. Children brouught their parents to the Sparta Recreation Advisory Committee’s annual Breakfast with the Bunny. Outside was a petting zoo with a llama, sheep, goats, rabbits and chickens as well as a pony ride all brought by Jack's Petting Zoo.

Inside children enjoyed bagels, cereal and juice served by Sparta’s senior volunteers.  Guitar Bob provided entertainment and dancing music.  The Easter Bunny delighted the children. 

Sparta seniors Vivian Rosenthal, BIrdie Bezursika and Murlaine Welsh volunteerd at the breakfast.

"Is there anything better than this?" asked Sparta Recreation's Donna Jenkins standing in the middle of the room full of excited youngsters.

Sparta High School Book Drive for Reach Out and Read

February 21, 2018

Sparta High School is holding a Children's book drive. All books collected will be donated to Reach Out and Read, an organization which donates books to pediatricians who give the books to patients who cannot afford them.

Drop off boxes can be found in the Sparta High School Media Center from Wednesday 2/21 to Monday 2/26.
