SPARTA, NJ — Helen Morgan will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, September 20, because of ongoing elevated levels of mold. All other schools will remain open.

In a statement make by superintendent, Dr. Michael Rossi, he said the “air quality test revealed an elevated level of aspergillus/penicillium” in a classroom, identified in an earlier announcement as being a speech room.

Two classrooms that share HVAC ductwork were also closed. According to Rossi, the rooms had not been occupied.

The Board of Education is holding the first of three strategic planning meetings at Sparta High School in the media center on Thursday, September 20. The public is welcome to attend.
