SPARTA, NJ – Several Sparta area students have received accolades from their colleges. 

Bridget Higdon and Gina Castellano were named to the dean’s list at the University of Vermont for the spring 2017 semester. 

Robert Galante and Jacob Melville have graduated from Colgate University this spring.  Galante was a Mathematics major and Melville majored in Political Science.

Catherine McIntyre was one of seven University of Dallas psychology students to repent research at the 63 annual convention of the Southwestern Psychological Association.  McIntyre's research, titled "Academic Success Differences between Athletes and Non-Athletes," examined the GPA differences of anonymous UD sophomores, juniors and seniors between athletes and non-athletes.

Lawrence McKeon graduated from the Berkeley College Practical Nurse Program and was honored in a pinning ceremony.

Maya Drummond and Lindsey Fisher were inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society at Ithaca College School of Health Science and Human Performances.  Alpha Eta recognizes and promotes significant scholarship, leadership and contributions to the allied health professions at collegiate institutions.

Katherina Kapur graduated from York College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science.

Kapur and Christine Ognibene were named to the York College dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.  Ognibene is pursuing a degree in Graphic Design.

Kalin Hagedorn and Laura Leggiero were named to the dean’s list at Belmont University for the spring 2017 semester.

Steven Viola was named to Worcester Polytechnic Institute dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.  Viola is pursuing a degree in robotics engineering and computer science. 

Brianne Kehoe was inducted in Eta Sigma Gamma,  National Health Education Honor Society, at the University of Scranton.  Kehoe is a senior majoring in community health education.

Kehoe and Nian Li graduated from University of Scranton. Kehoe earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education.  Li earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and Finance. 

Marisa Maccaro received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Marist College.

Brianne Eisenecker and Ethan Schultz were named to the dean’s list of Lebanon Valley College.  Eisenecker is pursuing a degree in early childhood education and special education.  Schultz is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in psychology.
