SPARTA, NJ –Sparta Township officials have announced road closures and detours for July 4 celebrations.  On Tuesday evening, July 3 traffic will be detoured around White Deer Plaza beginning around 8:30 p.m. to accommodate pedestrian traffic.

Lake Mohawk County Club fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:30 p.m. tonight with a rain date of July 4 at the same time.

The Sparta Elks’ Fourth of July parade is scheduled for Wednesday, July 4 beginning at 11 a.m.  The parade route begins at East Shore Trail/Twin Elm Terrace and continue along through White Deer Plaza and on to Mohawk Avenue School. 

Police said all traffic will be detoured around the parade route beginning around 10 a.m.
