SPARTA, NJ - A Sparta woman was picked up for driving while intoxicated on West Shore Trail. Sparta Police Officer Taylor May saw Natalie DeMartini weaving and drifting across the line into the oncoming lane on August 20 at 2 a.m. police report.
When May spoke with DeMartini he smelled alcohol in her car. Sparta Sgt Hannam and Cpl. Scott Elig assisted as May had DeMartini perform field sobriety tests. DeMartini was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department headquarters for processing and breath testing police report.
DeMartini was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failure to stay right and unclear plates. DeMartini was released with a court date to a responsible adult.
