SPARTA, NJ – Following a stabbing at a local bar in Jefferson Township, the Jefferson police put out an alert for a vehicle assumed to contain one of the combatants along with a motorcycle.
Sparta Township Police Officer Craig Grauerholz identified a vehicle matching that description. He pulled the car over in front of the township municipal building and found an occupant to have a serious stab wound to the abdomen. The injured man, as yet unidentified, was air lifted to Morristown Medical Center. His condition is not known at this time.
Jefferson Police, Morris County Prosecutor and the Morris County Crime Scene Investigators are handling the investigation. They processed the scene and impounded the car. The whereabouts of the motorcycle is still unknown.
