SPARTA, NJ - Sparta High School is about to open their second student run production on May 29 and 30. The show this year, entitled “The Evolution of Drama,” is a scene night composed of pieces ranging from Grecian epics like Homer’s Odyssey to the contemporary works of David Lindsay­-Abaire. Pieces from Grecian, Shakespearean, Naturalist, Early and Late Modern, and Contemporary movements will be presented representing small snippets from the history of theatre.

The production is directed by two seniors, Aimee Buchanan and Jamie Lowenstein. Both shows will be held in the Sparta High School auditorium at 7 p.m.

In order to ensure you have a seat go to or to reserve your tickets. You do not have to pay online; tickets will be paid for at the door. Tickets are $10 per person; snacks and refreshments will be sold at intermission. The show features over a dozen students including the following:

One of the cast members, Becca Senatore had this to say about her experiencein this production, “It’s incredible how talented everyone is. Putting the show together was so fun and the whole cast is like a big family. I can’t wait from everyone to see our hard work to pay off. We hope to see you there and supporting your local thespians."
