SPARTA, NJ – Summer activities continue in Sparta for all ages.

The Sparta Arts Council continues their summer concert series on Friday night with Mark Berger & the Ride.  The show goes from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Dykstra Park.  Rain location is inside Mohawk Avenue School. 

Next week the Sparta Recreation Department will offer Patterns & Designs: A World Tour with Pastels for children seven to 12 years old.  The week long class begins on August 13 and runs from 10 a.m. until noon.  The class is $130.  Students will explore multicultural art in this Worldly Artistic Designs workshop.

The Sparta Elks will be holding a Paint and Sip with Sharon event on Thursday, August 16.  Seating is limited at the lodge on the Lake Mohawk Country Club boardwalk.  Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. painting begins at 8:30 p.m.  Cost is $35.  Light snacks will be provided and beverages will be available for purchase.  Email Spartaelks2356@hotmail.com to make a reservation.

August 18 will be the next outdoor family movie night.  Peter Rabbit will be shown on the screen at Dykstra Park beginning at dusk.  Park opens at 6:30 p.m.  The rain date is August 25.
