NEWTON, NJ—Sussex County Community College will hold a Marrow Donor Registry Drive on Tuesday, March 31.
The drive will be held on campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the college’s Galleria, Building D. Registrants must be between the ages of 18 and 44. The registry is open to the public, staff, and students.
There will also be a blood drive held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the same building. Walk-ins are welcome.
“For thousands with blood cancers like Leukemia or other diseases like sickle cell anemia, a marrow transplant is their only hope for life. In particular, diverse ancestry patients especially need your help because they are most likely to match someone who shares their heritage,” according to a press release by the ICLA Da Silva Foundation.
