HARDYSTON, NJ - The Sussex County YMCA will host its fourteenth annual golf outing on Wednesday, May 25 at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hardyston. The event will honor a dedicated community supporter with deep ties to Sussex County, Mark Avondoglio from Perona Farms.
Proceeds from the event support the programs and services that the Y provides for children, families, adults and seniors in our community.
Mark clearly embodies the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, therefore making him very deserving of this honor. Being the oldest of the fourth generation running Perona Farms, his commitment to tradition and service spans back to 1917 when his great grandparents settled in Andover.
While providing high quality catering and Sunday Bruncheon through the family business, Mark has found time to devote himself to Sussex County through dedicated service to a number of local non-profit organizations including: Newton Medical Center Foundation and serving on the Executive Council of Patriots Path and Boy Scouts of America.
In response to Mark’s continued service to the community, he has been held in high honor by the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the “Humanitarian Business” Award and recently Centenary College honored the Avondoglio family with the “The Gold Dome” Award for philanthropic endeavors on behalf of the College.
As this outing continues to honor impactful and devoted members of our community, the Sussex County YMCA invites any individuals or businesses interested in sponsorship to please contact Rose Steinwand at 973 209 9622 or at email@example.com.
The YMCA would like to thank the following major sponsors already confirmed for this year: Eastern Propane, First Hope Bank, Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, Lakeland Bank, McGuire Chevrolet, Newton Medical Center, Peter and Cynthia Kellogg Foundation, RoNetco Supermarkets , The Macaluso Group, Thorlabs, Inc. and Perona Farms.
