SPARTA., NJ - The sixth annual Bunco Night Fundraiser sponsored by Sparta Friends and Neighbors on March 29, 2017, was a great success. A fundraising event is only possible with the generous support of our local residents.
Our Bunco Night Fundraiser was a sold out event and this allowed Sparta Friends and Neighbors to meet our fundraising goals. All proceeds from the event were used to benefit local charities who depend on contributions from the community.
NAMI Sussex (The National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and advocacy throughout the Sussex County, New Jersey area on behalf of individuals and families affected by mental illness. People Help of Sussex County provides emergency financial aid to low income, the working poor, and unemployed individuals who are unable to be helped by other local charities, government programs, or non-profit agencies. One-time, short term, immediate help can be made available to residents of Sussex County.
The funds can help people pay expenses and bills such as medical care, food, energy, clothing and shelter. People Help’s President, Gail, accepted our $1,700 donation at the Sparta Friends and Neighbors general meeting on May 11, 2017.
