SPARTA, NJ—Askin & Hooker, LLC announce the second annual Labor Day 5K!  The event will take place Monday, September 4th, at 9 a.m. starting at the Lake Mohawk Plaza, and will benefit the preservation and beautification of Lake Mohawk.  A pre-race packet pickup will be available Sunday at the Boardwalk from 4 to 6 p.m.

This race is full of excitement for runners, sponsors, and spectators! Water and misting stations will be available at the finish, and sponsor/vendor, and information tents will be set up as well.  Participants will receive a specialized weather wicking short-sleeve t-shirt and goodie bag while supplies last, and 60 medals will be handed out to male and females of different age groups.  If you’re a team player, make sure to register as a team!  The three largest teams will win special team awards.  Immediately following, the Ski Hawks will present a thrilling water ski show.

The course begins and ends at the Rock Arch in the festive Lake Mohawk village. For the first mile of the course, expect a rush of runners, walkers, and strollers making their way through shaded, flat roads.  The rest of the course will be similar, with an “out and back” closed course.  Enjoy music while you run, and make sure to stick around after the race! Local sponsor activities and award ceremonies will follow.  Make sure to check the website a few days later—you might find your photo!
