SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta Diamonds Softball lprogram is starting the season early. They will be holding a bowling party on Jan 23 at Sparta Lanes. The event is open to all and will feature games, live DJ music and unlimited bowling to support the Sparta softball recreation and travel teams.
The program will have a lot to live up to in this upcoming season after taking home many titles and trophies in the Spring and Fall seasons. Most notably the U12 girls earned a slot to play the other top 25 teams in the country at the Babe Ruth World Series in Fl last summer.
This is one of the most important fundraisers for the Diamond organization. There are two ways to participate; $75 for a lane of up to six bowlers or $15 for an individual. With limited space early registration is suggested. Lane sponsorships are also available.
Frank Ciaburri who heads up the recreation side of softball said, “Sparta Softball strives to ensure the girls of our community have everything they need to be successful on and off the field, and as a non-profit without proper funding it is very difficult”.
Joe Jacobs who runs the travel program said, “Starting the new year off strong in terms of fund raising is pivotal for our program.”
