FRANKLIN, NJ – A motor vehicle stop on Main Street led to multiple drug arrests.  Responding to a call about a suspicious car on Sept 1, a Franklin Borough Police Officer observed the driver commit a number of violations before stopping the car.

The officer searched the occupants of the vehicle. Hiralall Narandre, 39 years-old and Persaud Navindra, 26 years-old both of West Orange and Kimberly Baird 23 years-old of Landing.  They were all found to be in possession of heroin. 

The officer seized an undetermined amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to a statement from the Franklin Borough Police.

Nivandra was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant from West Orange and had suspended driving privileges. 

Narandra was also found to be in possession of a stolen bank check and was charged with theft.

All three were charged criminally with multiple narcotics violations and were released pending an appearance in Superior Court.

The complaints that were filed are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The charges may be presented to a grand jury for potential indictment.
