SPARTA, NJ – Just before the end of the school year, children from Brianna Reigstad’s third grade class were outside for a special project. Together with the class mothers the students helped to plant a tree in recognition and appreciation for her first year of teaching.
Reigstad said, “I am so thankful to have been able to share my first year of my dream career with such an amazing group of students. A tree is such an appropriate gift as an educator, symbolizing the true meaning of lifelong learning. As this beautiful tree continues to grow, it will remind me to continually grow as a person and as an educator. My first class of students were an inspiration and will hold a special place in my heart forever.”
The tree stands at the top of the field at Mohawk Avenue School.
