SPARTA, NJ - The Sparta Police Detective Bureau arrested 27-year-old Yahsiyn Thompson from Egg Harbor, for two burglaries in Sparta last October.  He was arrested for being involved in burglaries of a Sterling Hill Road address on October 10, 2014 and Triple Crown Drive address on October 27, 2014. 

Thompson was taken into custody on April 2, 2015 in Atlantic City.  Levi Bailey, also suspected of being involved in the burglaries, remains at large. 

One of the suspects gained entry into both residences by forcing open a locked door.  He then ransacked rooms in the residence taking jewelry and other items.  Both suspects face additional charges in Hunterdon County for other burglaries. Thompson is currently being held in the Hunterdon County Jail on $50,000.00 bail.

Both suspects have been charged with Conspiracy, Attempted Burglary,Burglary and Theft.

The incident was investigated by Det. Jeff McCarrick.  He was assisted by Tom Laird of the Sussex County Prosecutors Office.  Also assisting were the Clinton Township Police Department and the Atlantic City Task Force.
