SPARTA, NJ – Sparta UNICO will be holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28 at 10:30 a.m. The 18th annual event will be on the field near the stage in Dykstra Park, behind Mohawk Avenue School and the library park.
While the Easter Bunny is expected to bring 3,000 eggs this year, organizers recommend getting their early with a basket and a cameras, as the children have been known to clear the field of eggs quickly. Most of the eggs will contain candy. A few eggs, however, will have tickets for prizes. This year UNICO will be giving away a tricycle and two bicycles along with Easter baskets and more.
Children 10 and under are welcome to participate. Adults are invited to participate in an Easter bonnet contest again this year. There will be prizes for the best bonnet from Lake Mohawk Flower Company, Bella Boutique and Interplay Couture.
In addition to the dash for eggs, there will be face painting and other fun activities.
This event is the embodiment of the organization’s motto Service Above Self. Admission is free but donations are always appreciated
