SPARTA, NJ – Sparta High School student Veronica LaBelle was accepted into the All National Mixed Choir.

LaBelle will participate in the national program that will be held in Nashville, Tenn., culminating in a performance at the Grand Ole Opry House on Wednesday, Oct. 29. 

LaBelle qualified to be considered for this honor having successfully auditioned for the All State Mixed Choir last year.  She placed fifth out of a field of 200 students in the Alto 2 category and has been participating in the choir, which began practicing in June. The All State Mixed Choir will have their performance on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

At Sparta High School, LaBelle has been singing with the Women’s Choir, Honors Choir, Schacapella. Last year, she was a teaching assistant for Laura Lopez’s Freshmen Choir. She also participated in "High School Musical" last spring.

This is the second year that a Sparta High School student has achieved the honor of performing with the All National Mixed Choir. Emily Melberger attended last year’s program in Nashville.
