I was very disturbed the other day when I saw the mayor and a few VFW members participate in the Memorial Day Ceremony in Sparta,  not wearing masks or distancing themselves.  I would love to know their mind set.

The scientists, mental health specialists, and many governors have all agreed that in order to fight this pandemic spreading before a vaccine can be developed, WEAR A MASK and social distance while in stores and outside where people gather.  This is to protect others from the spread and hopefully have us once again return to some degree of normalcy.

I have a business in town, which is approaching its 50th Anniversary this July, and it is one that has been 100 percent impacted by this virus.  I want us to continue doing business. In order to do this, people have to respect the temporary protection orders so that we can reopen, gradually, and not revisit lockdown.

It is not going to happen as long as we have people who disregard the temporary protective measures to avoid the spread of a very voracious virus.
