Sparta Board of Education Hearing on Superintendent's Contract

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:11-11, the Sparta Board of Education is providing notice of its intent to hold a public hearing and to take action to amend, extend, renegotiate and/or alter contract terms and conditions of the district Superintendent at its regular meeting on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Mohawk Avenue School Auditorium, 18 Mohawk Avenue, Sparta, NJ. Section 5 of the Act amended N.J.S.A. 18A:11-11 requires board of educations to provide the public 10 days’ notice of a public hearing regarding the renegotiation, extension, amendment, or alteration of an employment contract with the Superintendent of Schools; and WHEREAS, said public notice was provided to the public via posting in the office of the Board Secretary located at 18 Mohawk Avenue, Sparta, NJ 07871, emailing to local news media and the Sparta Township Municipal Building for posting, and, posting on the district’s public website. Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-3.1 the Executive County Superintendent (ESC) reviewed and approved the Superintendent of Sparta Board of Education’s employment contract on September 9, 2019.
This meeting is open to the public and our community is invited to attend. Executive Session may be required to discuss Personnel, Students and/or Litigation matters and will commence at 6:30 if needed.
