2020 Sparta Baseball Registration is open.  Please register by January 31st to save $25.  Evaluations for the older kids starts in February and our free indoor clinic will begin in March.

SPARTA, NJ- A Brooklyn man is facing drug charges when the car in which he was a passenger was stopped for a broken tail light.  On January 14 around 2 a.m. Officer Thomas Herd stopped Akeem McKinney, 21 for the broken light on her green Volkswagen, police said.

SPARTA, NJ – A Netcong man who drove into a ditch is facing drunk driving charges.  On January 11 around 8:30 a.m. Officer Michael Poon found John Leonard, 32 had driven off the road at Andover Road and Kimberly Court, police said.

SPARTA, NJ – Both a driver and passenger caught the attention of Sparta Police Officer Steven Guido when they were ashing their cigarettes out of the window while they were driving on Route 15.  On January 10 around 1 p.m. Lords Valley, Pennsylvania resident Kayla Murphy, 25 was stopped in a blue Subaru Impreza, police said.
