Kiwanis Fall Festival for Families

SPARTA, NJ - Sparta Kiwanis announces the reprise of its highly successful Fall Families Festival to be Held at Station Park in Sparta between noon and 4 P.M. on October 8th.  The Kiwanians are once again celebrating their neighbors as a way of showing appreciation for their generous support of Kiwanis programs throughout the year.

It's all about service.  It's all about giving back.  It's all about making our town the place we are proud of in word and deed. It's about we Spartans. 

Once again the event is free to all. There will be pumpkins to paint, games and music to enjoy, and refreshments served to one and all. Plan to party with the Kiwanis.  Meet us and join us. Sparta Police: Over Weight Truck Driver Facing Drug Charges

SPARTA, NJ – A box truck drive is facing drug charges after being stopped on White Lake Road. Sparta Police Officer Steven Guido stopped Kyon Handcock on October 12 around 9:30 a.m. because the truck was oversized for the four ton weight limit, police say.

SPARTA, NJ – A traffic stop ended with drug charges for a Sparta man.  On October 4 at 9:13 p.m. Police Officer Erick Finley stopped Nicholas Ryan for not having lights on the front or back license plate, according to police.

Senior Wants Consolidated County Schools

As a senior,concerned with the high real estate tax in Sparta, I recommend we consolidate all schools in Sussex County.  This will save multiple Superintendents, Business Managers, head janitors, and the staff of the county Supernatant.as well as multiple curriculum directors or VPs.
