Sussex County COVID-19 March 31, Two More Deaths

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The coronavirus has claimed two more victims in Sussex County.  According to the Sussex County Department of Health a 63-year-old Vernon man and a 75-year-old Sparta man have died.

Additionally, 15 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified.

Sparta Man Gets Five Years in Drug Case

MORRISTOWN, NJ – A Sparta man was sentenced today to five years in state prison for his role in a drug distribution scheme dashed after a long-term police investigation that yielded drugs and $300,000 in proceeds, said authorities.

Sparta Police: DWI for Byram Man

SPARTA, NJ- A Byram man tried to blame his accident on texting but ended up with a drunk driving charge.  On March 17 around 11:30 a.m. Officer Brian Porter responded to a call of an erratic driver on Route 15, police said.
