Everyone is invited to attend this special event.  The Order of Elks celebrated its 150th Anniversary in 2018 and the Sparta Elks Lodge will be celebrating its 53rd Anniversary in 2020.  The Lodge Officers and Members are proud of what is being accomplished with its programs and would like to share and illustrate these projects with our community.

We have given back over $800,000.00 to the community.

Light refreshments, games and door prizes will be provided at the event.  Our Lodge Officers will guide tours of the facility.  There will be information tables staffed by our committee members to explain the Lodge activities, to answer questions and share what the Lodge does in support of the community and our other endeavors.

The Sparta Elks is active with:

  • Community assistance projects.
  • Food Bank contributions.
  • Veterans support programs, Homeless Veterans, Wounded Worriers through our Army of Hope Project.
  • Youth activities, including a free throw basketball competition, a youth soccer competition, bowling, golf & tennis.
  • Drug awareness programs.
  • Largest volunteer program in the Nation. We hold an annual Peer Leadership conference weekend in Long Branch for high school students.
  • Scholarship programs open to all students; Third largest Scholarship provider in the Nation.
  • Patriotic programs including sponsorship of the annual Fourth of July Township Parade; annual 911 Memorial Ceremony; Flag Day Program and Flag Retirement Programs.

The Lodge has an active social calendar for all of its members and their guests to enjoy.

The New Jersey State Elks Association’s major project is Elks Camp Moore; a summer camp for children with special needs located in Wanaque, NJ.  The children are sponsored by the local Lodge and attend for one week at no cost to the families.  A week at Elks Camp Moore includes use of the pool and spray park activities, arts and crafts, theme parties, day trips as well as many other activities.  Sparta Lodge is one of the major supporters of Camp Moore and all of its programs.  We also support many other local Special Children's activities, including Top Soccer.

The Sparta Elks Lodge #2356 has been part of the Sparta Community for over 50 years.  We are an extremely vibrant organization with great members and officers who are dedicated to the common good.  Please save the date (Sunday, November 3rd, 2019) and come down and meet us!  We would love to see old friends and make many new ones.

With some diseases like Measles, you get it, you know it, and if you have a vaccine it leaves quicker than not.   With ...
