Villa Capri II Fundraiser for NAMI Sussex

On Friday, July 26th, Villa Capri II pizza and pasta restaurant in Sparta will donate 10% of all sales of dine-in or take-out food as a fundraiser for NAMI Sussex, the Sussex County affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI Sussex is an all volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. That mission is accomplished by providing free peer-led support groups, educational courses, community presentations, school-based programs for youth and a helpline to connect people with mental health resources. NAMI also advocates for improved mental health services and the elimination of stigma and discrimination.

Villa Capri II is located at 270 Sparta Ave in Sparta and is open from 11am-10pm. Their phone number is 973-729-6654.

Sparta Road Paving Projects for Monday and Tuesday

SPARTA, NJ – Two road construction projects are scheduled for next week according to township officials. 

On Monday, Davis Road is schedule to be paved. 
On Tuesday, Old Prospect School Road is scheduled to be paved.

Township officials advise there will be delays and recommend planning an alternate route.

SPARTA, NJ – A Stockholm woman is facing charges when she was stopped for speeding through a closed road.  On October 11 around 11:50 p.m. Tracy Deangelis, 31, was stopped on West Mountain Road after Officer Craig Grauerholz saw her drive through the closed portion of CR 517 going 55 MPH in a 35 MPH, police said.
