Sparta Police: Sussex Man Speeds to DWI

SPARTA, NJ- A Sussex man stopped for speeding is facing drunk driving charges.  On September 19 around 12:1 a.m. Cpl. Kurt Morris stopped Michael Evans, 58 in a white Toyota SUV speeding 75 in a 55 MPH zone on Route 15 north, police said.

Sparta Police: Wanted Man Nabbed After Fleeing to the Woods

SPARTA, NJ – Acting on an anonymous tip, Sparta Police went to a Sparta residence to find a man wanted by the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department.  When the officers arrived, Kyle Talmadge, 29 of Franklin Boro ran into the woods, police said.

Sparta Police Announce Charges in Ungerman Attack

SPARTA, NJ- Two Sparta boys have been charged with simple assault in an attack that took place at Ungerman Field in mid July.  According to police both boys are 14 years old, as is the victim.
