Sparta Police: Suspended Sparta Driver Gets DWI in Liquor Store Parking Lot

September 18, 2018

SPARTA, NJ – No injuries were reported following an accident in the parking lot of the Liquor Factory.  On September 14 around 9 a.m. Sparta Police Officer Brian Porter went to the scene to find Sparta resident Margaret Laureys, 53, struck a GMC Envoy with her black Toyota Corolla, according to police.

Sparta Police: Wanted Newton Man Picked Up After Traffic Stop

SPARTA, NJ – A Newton man was picked up on open warrants following a traffic stop.  On September 7 around 10 a.m. Police Officer Brian Porter stopped Kaseem Harris, 29 for equipment violation on the blue Ford Pickup truck he was driving on East Mountain Road, police report.

Sparta Police: Reported Erratic Driving Gets Sparta Man DWI

SPARTA, NJ – A Sparta man is facing charges including driving while intoxicated charges after being reported by other drivers about his erratic driving on Route 15 north.  On September 11 around 10:24 p.m. Police Officer Jonathan Poon found and stopped Saurabh Dubey, 39 in his white Honda, police report.

SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta Library is holding their 10th annual wine tasting fundraising event on Saturday, October 20 beginning at 7 p.m.  The $15 tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the library.
