UNDER CONTRACT:  Welcome to a world of sophisticated serenity at 368 West Mountain Road

Experience a sense of peace as you pull in and pass the 3.75-acre property’s charming apple barn, then ride the wooded, winding drive past the English-style old stone walls and up to this eco-friendly 5BR, 4-full bathroom, 2-half bathroom beauty surrounded by mountains, forest and wildlife.

Around back, discover a private backyard oasis complete with a state-of-the-art fresh pool with a gently calming waterfall and two hot tubs, all surrounded by a gigantic, travertine patio with a large pergola. A high-efficiency pool heating system and electric cover combine for an extended swimming season, and the automatic, in-floor pool cleaning/chlorinating system makes maintenance a breeze.

The flat yard offers a great place to play. Sample the backyard apples, peaches, pears, cherries, plums, blackberries and raspberries, or warm up at the fire pit while you admire the wealth of blooming perennial flowers.

Follow the meticulously-landscaped walkway up to the mahogany front doors, and enter this all-brick home to find a grand, curved staircase leading to the upper hall gallery. Oak floors lead into the spacious great room where a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace commands attention.

Offering a perfect balance of beauty and functionality, the state-of-the-art kitchen contains an oversized, separate commercial fridge and freezer; 60-inch Wolf range with 2 convection ovens, 6 burners, griddle and grill topped with a massive, high extraction custom hood; soapstone countertops with integrated, large/deep soapstone sinks; a drawer fridge/freezer/ice maker; large pantry; massive island and seating peninsula; desk area; and roomy table area.

Relax in front of the brick living room fireplace, where wall-to-wall glass doors offer wonderful views of the pool and woods.

Entertaining’s a dream due to the flow of spacious first floor rooms and the opportunity for friends and family to spill out into the backyard through any of the six doors.

Upstairs, the stunning master suite contains a grand bedroom, sitting room, and a luxurious marble master bathroom. The heated, non-slip, sand-blasted marble floor welcomes you into a zero barrier shower built for 2, or, if you prefer, sink into the free-standing soaking tub under a gleaming chandelier. Separate vanities, each with a lighted makeup mirror, offer the personal space you desire.

Downstairs, the basement is studded-out for a full bath with shower, rec room, home theater, wine cellar, and a gym.

He was with a girl a few years younger, a woman who looked to be a grandmother, and several small children. His role ...
