MORRISTOWN, NJ – Some Sparta High School students and teachers are not taking the summer off.  A group of AP Studio art students took a two hour class blowing studio at the Morris County School of Glass in Morristown on July 27.

Teacher Jennifer Kucher-Csaltos accompanied incoming AP Studio student Mia Von Eisenburg, Riley D’Allesandro, Rached Sosik, Chloe Bavaro and Nacy Nester.  Recent graduates Kasey Senator and Emily Dilger as well as parent Jocelyn Senator also took advantage of the opportunity to create in the glass medium.

“They mostly made pieces that would work toward their concentration ideas for the AP Studio portfolio,” Kucher-Csaltos said.

Kucher-Csaltos said the teachers from Morris County School of Glass guided the students through the creation of the pieces the students envisioned and planned out.

The school is open to the public, allowing people to have access to a glass blowing school, studio and gallery, according to their website.  They offers classes, demonstrations, private lessons and even group sessions including team building events or parties.
