SPARTA, NJ – Clear out those old papers.  Sparta Township is offering free, secure paper shredding on Saturday, September 28.  Residents are welcome to shred a limit of five boxes per car with no limit on the number of visits.  According to the announcement boxes are approximately 24x15x11”.

Sparta residents, businesses and non-profits are invited to participate in this free event.  It will be on a first come-first serve basis until the trucks are full, according to the announcement.

Paper clips and staples are allowed.

The event is sponsored by Sparta Township Clean Communities Program.  They are requesting a non-perishable food donation for local food pantries.

The event will take place at Sparta Town Hall, 65 Main Street from 8 a.m. until noon, rain or shine.
