SPARTA, NJ – In gratitude for hosting their party the Sparta High School class of ’69 made a donation to the Sparta VFW. 

According to the Sparta VFW Commander Pete Litchfield, representatives from the class sent a letter and a check for $860. 

The letter said, “an amazing time was enjoyed by the many classmates who came from all around the country to see each other once again, face to face.”  The letter thanked Litchfield for hosting the event and “helping in so many ways in making the reunion a success.

The check was to show their appreciation after their 50 reunion.

Litchfield said the Sparta VFW would "use the monies towards payment of the paving of our parking lot."  The lot has been repaired, paved and stripped, according to Litchfield.
