Goldschmidt was also a member of the Sewer Study committee in 1977 that was essential to the planning and creation of the township sewer system and development of the town center, according to the proclamation.

“He has spent countless hours on the Zoning Board always seeking better ways to improve the quality of life for all Sparta residents,” the proclamation said.

The next Zoning Board meeting is scheduled for February 12 at 7:30 p.m. according to the Sparta Township website.
