NJ Dept of Agriculture Announces Romaine Lettuce Grown in State is Safe

TRENTON – The U.S. Food & Drug Administration and Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention have announced that their agencies have narrowed down the source of contaminated romaine lettuce at the heart of a recent outbreak of E. coli 0157:H7, and that no New Jersey-grown lettuce is connected to the outbreak.

Water Main Break Reported in Newton

NEWTON, NJ – Crews are on site working on repairs to the water main break on Paterson Avenue, Town of Newton officials said. 

Residents in the area may have little to no water pressure.  There is currently NO boil water notification.
