Sparta High School ALIGN WELLNESS CENTER presents a 2 Part Mental Health Series entitled a "Virtual Community Conversation with Sparta Psychiatrist Dr. Debra Koss".
Sparta Psychiatrist Dr. Debra Koss and SHS Align Wellness Center Coordinator Dr. Jane Esposito engaged in a virtual community conversation to answer community raised questions about mental health and behavioral concerns affecting our school community during Covid-19. Dr. Koss offers guidance to parents / guardians in regard to social / emotional and behavioral concerns to include anxiety, sadness, executive functioning skills and how to try to maintain a healthy home structure during the current online academic platform. Questions were compiled from a recent survey that Mr. Patrick McQueeney, Acting Sparta School District Superintendent shared with our Spartan Learning Community.
Debra Koss, M.D. is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with more than 25 years clinical experience. In addition to maintaining a private practice in Sparta, New Jersey, Dr. Koss is a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Psychiatry at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey.
