SPARTA, NJ - With hundreds of homes still in the dark, officials from Sparta Township Office of Emergency Management and Sparta Board of Education have announced a partnership to provide an additional option for residents.  On Thursday, until 8 p.m. residents were able use shower and rest room facilities at the high school.  

Residents had to  bring their own toiletries. Electronic devices could also be charged at the school.

Sparta school custodial staff and an officer from the Sparta Police Department were at the school to assist families.  Residents seeking to use the facilities were asked to enter through the cafeteria doors at the side of the school.  

Other Sparta Go2 centers will continue to be open; Sparta public library until 9 p.m. and Sparta Town Hall 24/7.
