SPARTA., NJ – No one was injured but a Vernon man ended up with drunk driving charges after an accident on Route 15.  On January 11 around 10:12 p.m. Sparta officers went to the scene of the accident police report.

Officer Taylor May spoke with 45-year-old Brook Minondo who according to police, caused the accident.  May suspected Minondo was drunk.

May had Minondo perform field sobriety tests.  He was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department for breath testing and processing, police said.

Minondo was charged with DWI, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to provide registration, failure to provide insurance card and no liability insurance on a motor vehicle.  Several hours later he was released with a court date to a sober adult.
