SPARTA, NJ -  A Sparta man found trouble with police after fighting with his landlord.  On July 3 around 2 p.m. Cpl. Mastandrea responded to a call about a landlord-tenant dispute. This was not the first time Sparta police responded to complaints about this same dispute, police said.

According to police when Mastandrea arrived he found Christopher Heddinger, 45, who appeared to be “agitated and highly intoxicated.” The landlord accused of Heddinger of assault for having pushed him.

Heddinger ran downstairs from his apartment when he saw Mastandrea speaking with the landlord.  The officer told Heddinger to return to his apartment, police said.
