SPARTA, NJ- A Lake Hopatcong man is facing drunk driving charges after he was seen crossing over painted lines at the Blue Heron exit ramp from Route 15. On February 11 around 9:15 p.m. David Langan, 54 was stopped by Officer Erick Finley, police said.
When the officer spoke with Langan, Finley though the driver was intoxicated. Finley had Langan get out of the car and perform field sobriety tests. Langan was then taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department headquarters, police said.
After breath testing Langan was charged with DWI, careless driving, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, open container in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and failure to produce a driver’s license.
He was given a court date and released to a sober adult.
