SPARTA, NJ- Three women are facing drug and other charges after a traffic stop for speeding.  On December 13 around 10:15 a.m. Officer Thomas Herd stopped a gray four door Honda for going 83 MPH in a 55 MPH on Route 15 north, police said.

Herd saw there were three women and a child in the car.  When speaking with the driver, Sahkira Walker, 20, the officer smelled marijuana in the Paterson resident’s car, police said.

Walker agreed there was a smell of pot but denied there was any marijuana in the car.  When the officer searched the car he found a bag of marijuana but none of the three women would claim it was theirs, police said.
