SPARTA, NJ – Only one minor injury was reported in a four car accident but the driver that caused it is facing charges.  On March 15 around 2:30 p.m. Officer Jonathan Poon was called to the scene of the accident at the intersection of White Lake Road and Route 15, police report.

Poon found a silver Honda Odyssey driven by Nicole McCallum, 33 failed to stop causing a chain reaction accident of cars stopped at a red light.  The Montague resident crashed into a red Ford F350 driven by Steven Mills of Lafayette, police said.

Mills then crashed into a red Subaru Forrester driven by Morag McCrory of Manhattan, New York who then was pushed into a blue Dodge Ram 250 pickup driven by Antonio Ramirez of Wayne, police said.

Ramirez was the first car stopped at the light and the only car that did not need to be towed from the scene, according to police.

McCallum was placed under arrest for being under the influence of suspected prescription narcotics.  She was taken to Newton Medical Center for treatment of an injured knee, police said.

McCallum was taken to Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing.  She was charged with possession of prescription drugs for distribution, careless driving, driving while suspended and driving while under the influence.  She was given a court date and released to a family member.
