SPARTA, NJ – An unlicensed Plainfield man was picked up for having warrants after being stopped for tailgating.  On February 29 around 8:20 p.m. Officer Brian Porter stopped Pablo Perez, 31 on Lafayette road, police said.

Perez gave Porter his insurance and registration but could not produce a license.  This was not the first time he had been picked up for not having a license, police said.

A check of his name showed also showed he had a warrant out of Hazlet.  He was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department Headquarters for processing, police said.

Perez was charged with tailgating, driving while suspended and unlicensed driver.  Sparta police contacted Hazlet.  They issued a new court date.  Perez was given a court date in Sparta and released.
