SPARTA, NJ — An accident on Route 15 with a motorcycle and a car sent two people to the hospital. On July 12 Sparta police responded to the crash at the intersection of Route 15 and Wilson Drive around 6:37 p.m. police report.
According to police, while turning left on to Wilson Drive from Route 15 north, Carmen Emery of Highland Lakes cut in front of Richard Keim on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Kime, a Lake Hopatcong resident hit the Toyota RAV4.
Keim and his passenger Chatham Rodriguez Camar of Bushkill, Pennsylvania were both thrown from the motorcycle. Both were flown by Medivac to Morristown Medical Center. Keim had head and neck pain. Camar had hip and leg pain, police report.
Both were treated and released, police said. Emery was not injured in the accident and was ticketed for careless driving and failure to yield right of way in an intersection.
